DIY Wriggling robot JBT-R232



This wriggling robot is a mechanism which imitates worms to wriggle forward. Its moving is very funny.

The wriggling being able to wriggle forward is due to it adopts a structure of unidirectional gear. It utilizes the unidirectional gear to lock the wheels’ moving direction. The front and rear wheels can only rotate forward. In our daily life, the flywheel on bikes also utilizes the principle of unidirectional gear, making that when the bike glissades or downgrades, the foot rest will not follow to rotate.
